I'm Damaris. I have a soulmate, three kids, two citizenships, one full time job. I don't have a lot of time, a perfectly clean house, or a stylish wardrobe. Around here we tend to focus on the positive, so please ignore the mess, the sporadic posting, and all the little imperfections. We just take it one day at a time. One kiss at a time. One idea at a time. This blog is a glimpse of my heart, of what I love and cherish most. It just so happens that most of it revolves around the greatest thing on earth; food!
Thank you everyone who submitted a recipe for this month's cook off. If you want to see the full recipe, click on individual thumbnails to be directed to the recipe post. Plus, it's nice to let our recipe-developers-recipe-cook off-submitters know we appreciate their work.
Now it's our time to vote. Voting closes on Friday. The top two recipes will then get made by my team of expert cookie makers (4 year old son and 1 year old daughter, and husband because he's so nice and a much better baker than I am) and the winner will be announced next Monday.
post-edit: Voting ended on Friday December 24th. Votes were counted up and the finalists are the Mint Chocolate Chunk Cookies and Spritz Cookies. I'm taking a week off from blogging. The winner will announced first Monday in January.
What a lovely, lovely post - I can't wait to try some of these recipes! Thank you so much for dropping by my blog last week - I had an unexpected week away from the internet, but it's lovely to return to this amazingness :)
I returned from my in-laws today. We spent the weekend there and I helped my mother-in-law make 12 different kinds of Christmas cookies. My favorites were the Linzer cookies and I was amazed at how easy they were to make as well. :)
I love those recipes and I cant wait to try some of them out:) Wish you a lovely day, sweetie
