Ted's Bakery in the North Shore of Oahu is famous for their chocolate-haupia pie, a rich chocolate pie with coconut custard on top. It's a good pie as far as store bought pies are concerned. If you go to Hawaii you need to have a slice but before you do make sure you have a Ted's Bakery Burger first.
I find truth in the quote "If Adam and Eve fell for an apple what wouldn't they have done for a burger." I fall for a good burger all the time, and in my opinion Ted's Bakery has the best burger around. Actually not around at all, very far away indeed.
I'm missing Hawaii like crazy. Coming back from vacation can be a real downer, good thing I leave for Cancun today. I'm going to Food Blogger Camp where I'll get to meet and mingle with some top Food Bloggers and where I'll get to fly on an airplane all by myself. I'll feel like a real person. I'll be able to read a book instead of wrestle with a one year old who viciously kicks the seat in front of her.
I wonder if they have good Burgers in Cancun.
I'll keep you posted.
can't wait to hear about your adventure!! sounds so much fun :)
ReplyDeleteBeing a vegetarian, I'll stick with the pie. I'm always happy to have dessert for lunch anyway. I'm oddly excited for you to have a little getaway by yourself - can't wait to hear all about it.

ReplyDelete@Mama PeaI think so too, naturally, even though Christian looks goofy and slightly like an 80 year old on the first picture. Not that 80 year olds can't be cute, or anything like that.
