Ever since my last post I've been experimenting with different ingredients, trying to come up with a simple yet tasty green smoothie. Personally I'm a total fan of froth, I like the foamy consistency that forms on top of my smoothie and as it turns out the kids like it too.
This smoothie is frothy on top and creamy on the bottom.
We think it's pretty perfect.
This creamy green smoothie recipe is one I came up with and have been making regularly. The spinach and lemon grass are from our garden. Coconut water is to keep us extra hydrated, and help with my blood plasma. Voskos Greek Yogurt makes the smoothie creamy, and their Original Greek Honey is my favorite and has just the right amount of sweetness to it. Bananas, well what's a smoothie without bananas?!
I'm still in recovery mode from my emergency c-section, plus I have a newborn attached to me at all times, so cooking meals for the fam is still pretty out of the question. Consequently I've become pretty obsessed with making green smoothies. It's fast. It's easy. It's something healthy I can feed myself and the kids.
