In order to make this recipe you need King's Hawaiian Original Sweet
Rolls. The rolls are slightly sweet and super soft, which makes a delicious dessert panzella. The rolls become crisp on the outside and chewy in the middle.
Ingredients:
makes 8 servings
8 cups cubed Kings Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls (about 10
rolls)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspon nutmeg
1 1/2 cup melted butter
3 cups chopped strawberries
3 cups chopped peaches
2 cups blueberries
3 Tablespoon coarsely chopped mint leaves
Optional: sweetened condensed milk for drizzling
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 F
Mix cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg.
Cut the rolls into 3/4 inch cubes. Toss the cubes with the
melted butter until evenly coated. Then sprinkle the cinnamon, nutmeg, and
sugar mixture over and toss until evenly coated.
Place the bread mixture on a cookie sheet lined with a
silicon baking mat or parchment paper and bake for 12 minutes or until golden.
They will be a little soft when you pull them out but will harden as they cool down.
Chop up your fruit.
Toss the cooled bread mixture with the fruit and diced mint leaves.
Optional: drizzle sweetened condensed milk.
